Date: 14th October - We have just finished our first working day in Bangkok and what a day it was! Starting off our Thailand visit at King's College has been lovely! We have been working with Primary aged children, teaching them all about Platform Theatre and they have certainly taken to it well! We couldn't be more impressed with how they took the style and ran with it! We cannot wait for what the next 2 days have in store for us here.
Date: 22nd October - Bangkok Patana, Until next time <3
We have just finished a 3-day residency at Bangkok Patana, and we are floored. We had the opportunity to teach students from ages 11-17 About platform theatre and then help them create their own Platform Theatre performances for one big showcase that happened TONIGHT! To say we were blown away by those students would be an understatement. They took our style and ran with it, made it theirs and created some truly amazing theatre. Thank you for having us Patana. It was a pleasure!
date: 24th October - WE ARE ON A BREAK!
We have finished our last working day for a week and are down in Phuket ready to sit and relax for a little while!
Today was an amazing day once again but made even more special by bumping into an old friend… Lewis and Eve’s old teacher from Southampton, Emily! It was clearly fate that brought them all back together as Emily didn’t even know they were coming! It was a lovely reunion and nice to see a friendly face at the halfway mark of this tour.
Date 28th October - We met elephants!
Today, some of the cast went to visit an Ethical Elephant Sanctuary and words can’t explain how surreal it was. We are travelling back up to Bangkok tomorrow (on Lewis’ birthday!) so we needed to get a good birthday treat in before a day of travel!
Date: 02nd November - Thailand, we will miss you!
Tomorrow we fly to Shanghai for the final stop on our tour. But today we are sad to be leaving such an amazing country. We’ve have been treated so well here and all of us will miss it a lot! We have visited 6 schools in Thailand and each one has welcomed us with kindness and generosity, we really are sad to be going. But, on to the next adventure!
